According to reports, the commissioner allegedly insulted people who questioned her appointment on Twitter.
The newly appointed Imo state commissioner for happiness and couples’ fulfilment, Ogechi Ololo has said that the Twitter account with her name is fake.
The commissioner, who happens to be the Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha’s sister, was sworn-in alongside 27 new commissioners and 27 transition committee chairmen for the 27 local government councils in the State.
According to reports, the commissioner allegedly insulted people who questioned her appointment from a Twitter handle, @mrsogechiololo.
In a swift reaction, Mrs. Ololo said the account does not belong to her.
She said “My attention has been drawn to a fake twitter account with the name@mrsogechiololo being used by a disgruntled person to demean my person and also to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.”
“Please let the members of public be informed that I have no such twitter handle and would not be involved with such inhumane activities. The public is hereby informed to disregard messages from this twitter handle.
"Robust efforts are being made by law enforcement agents to track down the originator of the scam and bring him or her to justice,” She added.
Nigerians roast Okorocha
Social media has been on fire, with many people wondering what the commissioner of happiness is expected to do.
Others also questioned the rationale behind appointing his sister as a commissioner in the state.
This is coming after the dust that was raised following the erection of statues in honour of the South African and Liberian Presidents, Jacob Zuma and Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson, respectively.
